Wait on the Evo?

The Evo is definitely the car for me. I'm in the process of selling my car right now (as you can see) and I'm definitely looking forward to picking up an Evo.

BUT when should I get it?:

Should I wait till spring of '04 for the new evo?

OR should I wait till the release of the new Evo and pick up a used one?

Could anyone make a guestimate of how much a used one would go for after the release of the '04?

I took a long hard look at the rumor thread and I couldn't gather too much hard evidence of anything. I did read about the so-called ralliart tuned evo and the stroked to 2.4L evo and the evo9 and even the new 4G64 evo. All kinds of shifting opinions and false information. I'm just wondering if the '04 comes out exactly the same as the '03 will the price of a used evo depreciate enough so I can afford it (around a 20-24k car)?

Thanks for any opinions!

You may be able to pick a used EVO for relatively cheap. I read someone gave an EVO away for only $24K . So keep your eyes open and watch for EVO sales around here.

I don't believe it was damaged. There's a select few who stretced to by an EVO. Some of those may need to sell quick for personal reasons.

Their misfortune could my fortune ^_^

Although, I don't want anything bad to happen to anyone and steal their evo from them because they can't afford to make health insurance payments or something.

I'm waiting, but it's really hard cause I keep hearing so many good things about the Evo. One inparticular is my co-worker that is a driving instructor and he had the chance to drive his students EVO. All he could say was the car was really fast and was almost perfect. He nevers says a car is fast unless it is and he's driven some pretty fast BMW's. I think the EVO qualifies as a super hero car like the M-3 it's easy to get into and drive fast, but do you really know how to drive?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting one, but as for an 03 or 04 dunno yet, because if I have enough by the spring I may get an 04, but I'd settle for an 03. How much better could they make it?

Buy it now if you get the price you want and interest rate for financing. I heard there are no changes for '04 and as far as redesign, no talk about that yet. Man, the car is new.

Thats what I plan on doing also, I will wait till 9/04 and hopefully get the 04'-05' Model. By then I will be able to put a $17,000 downpayment and just finance the rest

For those people who are waiting for a whole bunch of changes for the '04.....you're wasting your time. Changes will be minimal.

A little birdy told me.

First of all, I don't want AYC although I would take the ACD. I'm not planning on taking my car to the auto-x often enough to rationalize the extra weight.

Second, evolutionimports isn't legit. Read the other posts about it. I'm not sure of the details, but something serious happened.

It's hard to wait.
