I have an Espelir JGT500 catback on my car, and unfortunately, I'm having kind of a hard time finding the Espelir silencer online. Would I be able to use a silencer of the same diameter, for instance a Perrin or Apex'i ATS, in this exhaust? Obviously I can't email the manufacturers because I highly doubt Apex'i would know if their silencers will work in another company's exhaust system.

I got my second ticket for having tint too dark today, they didn't say anything about the exhaust this time but they have in the past. I'm just tired of getting pulled over driving around town. I want to make my car completely cop-friendly for running errands and stuff.

 

Buy a 500 dollar beater Civic. =)

 

some place don't make a different if u have a silencer on or not, if u have a modded exhaust system they will issue a ticket.

 

It matters here. They don't care what the exhaust looks like as long as it isn't too loud.

I think I am just going to get the HKS silencer, it looks like it would fit and if it doesn't I'm just going to modify it a little bit, how hard could it be.

 

Yeah, if you have McGuyver skills then it should not be a problem getting it to fit.

just the fact that it looks aftemarket, with that big ole muffler can youll get pulled over, cops are jerks until proven friendly

 

Trust me, I used to drive a Civic with a Buddy Club Spec 2. It really doesn't get much louder or more obnoxious than that. With the silencer in, they didn't even so much as look at me. With it out, I got a ticket. Around here they don't give a **** what it looks like, they only care about how loud it is.
