ok so i fixed my oil leak today, and it was coming from a bolt next to my coil pack/spark plug #3. i checked the gasket, its still good i dont even see how it comes out of a bolt?!! so i sealed the threads with silicon and its fixed but im not sure if its definite, any suggestions?

 

As long as you used a high temp silicone, I think you should be good.

 

If it continues to leak, just yank the valve cover off and reseal the whole thing.

You wont be able to see if the gasket is good or not just by looking at it. A new gasket is cheap insurance for an oil free engine bay.
