If there was one feature I wish I could have gotten with the Evo, Cruise Control.... oh how I wish I had cruise control (yes I know there are aftermarket ones, I just think its a hack).

Wow, you guys have taken some seriously long trips without cruise. I hate highway driving in general, but I hate it even more in the Evo since it feels like a waste of my fun time.

The longest trip I took was 4 hours, and even then I was doing a lot of left foot driving to make up for the lack of cruise control.

When I bought my Evo back in March I picked it up in San Francisco and drove it 3700 miles home to CT. I doubled the mileage on the odometer the day after I got it home. Quite a first experience with my car, it was only made possible by my years of "practicing" without cruise in my Jetta.

I've done the CA to MI drive. Back when I first moved to MI.

PS - mievo.net is the local group.

Done NJ to MI 10-12 hour drive (depending who's in the car with me) like 15 times 4 of them in the evo and the rest in a GMC jimmy. I hate the drive in the Jimmy it's boring especially on rt 80. EVO + Rt 80 = FUN My only complaint is my right elbow starts to hurt from resting it on the door which has no padding whatsoever, but easy fix I fold a T-shirt and rest on that. Two more weeks and I get to do it again and this time by myself.... Can't wait

I drove 15.5 hours from 2:00pm central time to 6:30am eastern time from bowling green, ky to connecticut when I bought my car. Needless to say it was a long night.

I drive the Evo from VA to NY and back once or twice every month. Also drove from SoCal to NY in the Evo and it took 31 hours. I dont care how long of a drive it is, the Evo always makes it better!!
