I have no problems with the profec spec II... it does take a bit of getting used to, but it is great!

agreed with what everyone said, most of the brand MBC's are quality products and will do the job just fine

I was just looking at the hallman mbc instructions and it says that you absolutely need an aftermarket exhaust system before installing the mbc. Does anyone know why this is?

you can install the boost controller just don't alter the boost level above what the car is currently tuned for
+1.

I have to baby my car to get 260 miles out of one tank. Best I've gotten was 280 almost never getting into boost.

I have some Kelfords going in next week and a tuning session planning shortly there after.

I have the Profec II and love it. As someone else said you can easily switch between 2 boost profiles, and there's more adjustibility than a regular MBC. The only thing I don't like, not that it even matters, is that it shows the psi in x10 form, so 23.9psi would read 239. Other than that its real nice.

For what it's worth, I have the profec, a tbe, and a tune, that's it. I would be thrilled to get 240 miles before the gas light goes on of regular driving. I just got about 250 but it was almost all 75mph highway. Best I've ever got was 270mi which was literally all highway in the middle of kentucky on the way back from buying my car. a/c was not used...

I'd wait to install those things until you do something more serious that would require a retune.
