WTF? I was pretty sure as well that the wing could not be taken apart, any one care to chime in here?
Sir, I hate to burst your bubble but you are wrong. Let me find the thread on here where it told me how to take it apart. I followed the directions to a T and had absolutely no problems. I'll be back with a link to the thread...

read post #30. I did exactly what this person did, and my wing came apart just fine. I will say that you have to be very firm when doing this. Like I said before, if you were local, I'd take it apart for you myself. If someone tried this and ruined their wing, then they didn't do it right. If anyone else says the wing can't be taken apart without ruining it, then here's the proof. How 'bout them apples?

I've got to re-clear mine because the clear was peeling/fading so bad. I have the cleared stripped off so much that you can actually feel the texture of the carbon fiber. You will ruin the wing if you try to sand it to the point where I have mine. Save the countless hours of your life and just strip the clear off, and have a shop professionally re-clear it. If they mess the clear up, then they have to fix it. It's fun sometimes to fix things yourself, but there are just some things left up to people who have the experience.
No one has answered in that thread about the rivets on the bottom.
Can they be drilled out? I am assuming they hold the side piece in from the bottom, or he would not have mentioned it.
More info please.
LMMFAO at the velcro.

Ok, lets get a few things straight:
The evo8 wing CAN BE TAKEN APART without destroying it. I have personally done it myself no more than a couple weeks ago. It took a combination of aircraft stripper (for the clear coat and paint), then I had to use a air powered DA sander with 320grit to get through the base coat/primer and down to the bare carbon fiber. Do not be afraid of ruining the carbon fiber by sanding over it, the cf is ridiculously strong.
