Realistically, what are the chances of me getting my calipers replaced by Mitsu?

Both front and rear driver's side calipers are starting look awful. My car is a 2004 and is modded and past warranty. Shouldn't Mitsubishi still replace them since both of my passenger side calipers look great and thats an indication that something is wrong. Anybody got their calipers replaced after warranty? Thanks

Anyone got a pic? Is it just paint issue? Does this also happen to the STi?
Yeah I just named a few, there are many many others (lexus, Nissan, Lamborghini the list goes on).... I have a bunch of friends with STi's, none of their calipers are peeling. This is why I am certain it is just a Mits. issue, and of course they know about it....they've warranted ALOT of calipers..... we'll see if they went back to brembo's normal paint spec on the X to decrease the claims.....Originally Posted by Tangerine
You can add to the list the AMG calipers, made by Brembo and paint holds up real well.Anyone got a pic? Is it just paint issue? Does this also happen to the STi?

I used
Dupli-Color -CLEAR- Engine Enamel with Ceramic
Resists temperatures up to 500 degrees F
Durable ceramic formulation
Superior high gloss finishes
Oil and gas resistant
Will not blister, flake, crack or peel
They look good as new.

Only one is starting to fade/peel right now.
I'll try to remember to post back to let you know how it went.
If all else fails, I'll just repaint them myself. Now whether to paint them brembo red again, or black?
I actually remembered to let you guys know how it went.Originally Posted by Tnnrx7

Called Mitsu up, told them that my front calipers are starting to fade/peel, she told me to come in. When I got there, she had already talked to the warranty manager or whatever and he approved to replace both front calipers (even though only 1 is really showing some wear).
Waiting for them to arrive next week and have them put on

If you guys do re-clear them, don't use the engine stuff. Use the VHT clear caliper paint. Handles 900 degree temps.

Would this also relate to my vortex generator? I have an 06 evo ix with 9.8k... The vortex generator is peeling like crazy.

Each dealership handles warranty claims different.

Mine peeled a few years back, as well as my spoiler, they replaced the spoiler, but not the Brembos.
At the same time I decided to put stainless brake lines on it, so I removed all the calipers, carefully sanded and peeled the old clear off, prepped, and put 3 coats of the VHT clear on. It looked great for about a year, and then they started to peel again.
If I decided to do it again I would probably have them powdered.
