Exclamation (New to evo family) exhaust help

Hi everyone im new to the mitsubishi family and if this is not in the right forum please forgive me, but i couldnt seem to find the exhaust forum and i have an 2003 evo viii and im wandering about exhausts.. I just came off a subaru impreza 2.5rs and you could run a cheap ebay catback and be completely fine, because well they didnt exactly make a whole lot of power.. haha. but anyways my real question is if buying a brand name exhaust like Apexi, greddy, or invidia is really going to make a big difference from some of the cheap 150 dollar catbacks that you see on ebay. If somebody could post back about this that would be greatly apreciated!

thanks again,
-josh

yes cause if you know that ebay exhausts are notorious for off n on reductions which harm performance not to mention cheap metals they use which will in turn rust. What i mean is they can go from 3" 2.5" 2.8" 3" .. if you want a straight through light design buschur is the way to go..

Don't believe everything you read about the "ebay" exhausts..

I ran one on my car for a while just to get it tuned and running correctly.. it didn't fit the best, but the welds were perfect, and the steel was very high quality stainless..

Not saying I would ever buy one again, but some of the "brand name" exhausts will taper to fit a catalytic converter..

Just do your research, there's tons of it out there
