HKS EVC VI doesn't show accurate boost, even messing with the offset

So let me start off by saying I inherited this boost controller and if it were up to me I would probably do ECU control boost but I figured since I had this installed (its in a trick location) I decided keep if not for a little while.

So for those who aren't familiar with this boost controller its about as complicated as an Apex i AVC-R (or more). The biggest problem I have with this EBC is that the actual set boost is not what I get. For example my low boost setting is 21.5psi and my high boost setting is 22.9psi. What I actually get is 25psi on low boost and 28.5psi....which is actually what I want but I hate that my EBC is set for something else.

Now there is a setting on the HKS EBC that is called offset and its for fine tuning the EBC to read closer to what your boost controller is giving you and I have messed with this both postiive and negative and nothing changes.

Does anyone with a this boost controller have any suggestions...maybe share some settings (shops are more then welcome). Its super frustrating. I know not every car is the same but I might see where I'm going wrong.

I have this boost controller and love it.

Do you have the manual for it ??

I would reset it and start all over. It should ask you for

#1 display psi/bar

#2 external/internal wastegate

#3 wastegate pressure
You can do a 3rd gear pull and it will record it when you are at this step. Or if you know what your wastegate pressure is just enter it.

#4 boost pressure you want to run
Once you entered the boost pressure do a run and see how close it gets to your set psi.

#5 adjust offset up or down to set your psi .

Hope this helps.

Best way to set an EVC 6 is to reset and start from scratch.

I've done that a few times...its the offset that doesn't seem to do anything. I'll try again. I tried allthe way from 65 up and swear it made little to no difference. I'll give it a whirl this afternoon.
