My Evo 8 is Paid in Full!
congrats
I know the feeling of paying off a car. Unfortunatly it's not enough to keep me from buying another one (evo8).
Congrats! do yourself a favor and don't buy another car. lol jk. do your thing man

Paid mine off this past May. 87k miles on it now.
Now I can use the extra cash to pay for all the things which keep breaking. The spring on the fuel filler door broke in August, and the HVAC temperature knob snapped off in my hand this evening. *sigh*
I still love this car. I might never sell it.

I've driven the X and can live without it, though I do like that it is smoother and quieter than my car, and has cruise. But I have to raise a (friendly) objection to you implying I cannot have had fun with a stock Evo.

My car has done 10 track days. It has been on five 3000+ mile road trips. It's driven most of Route 66, part of the Pacific Coast Highway, and the Tail of the Dragon. My car has been on the George Washington Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge. It has been in Mexico and Canada - during the same epic 6600-mile trip.
It's been an important part of my life during the past five years, and no matter how many parts break off in my hand or how many road trips are screwed up by check engine lights, I will always remember it fondly.

Here's a pic of my 03 evo that just today turned 40,000 miles and was paid in full 3 months ago alongside my wife's 05 accord that is being paid off next month! WOO HOO nothing like banking $985 dollars a month!
