did you try to retap/thread chase before going to the heli coil? heli coil usually requires you to drill out the old threads. I would go and get a thread pitch gage and use that if you can not find answer.

No i have not yet tryed to retap/thread chase them yet, because they looke pretty bad but i guess it wouldnt hurt to attempt to fix them before drilling them out and adding the heli coil.
