naw it didn't happen in one day i think like 1 and half weeks when it started slipping but it wasnt that bad until that day...i was driving in my rpm around 3-5k rpm...i was trying to get back to milwaukee which was a 3 hour drive from wausau...
I had a clutch in my old nissan that was slipping for like 6 months and still never went out. Sounds like you have some bad luck my friend. Oh well she'll be back up and running in no time.

my clutch went from very little that wasn't very noticeable (thought it was some other problem at first) to full slipping one day. When the really noticeable slipping started it was only about 15 miles later that it went completely out. The car idled on every gear including reverse. The flywheel had heat scoring all the way through and needed a new flywheel.
Sorry to hear about that man. How much is the upgraded clutch + install going to cost?
Reason I ask is because I have basic bolt ons (megan racing tbe, injen uic/lic piping, injen intake, turbosmart bov) on a stock clutch. The only thing I bought for my car is the tbe.
I had a local subaru STI owner talk to me about my car and said too bad I'm going to have to replace the clutch in about 15K miles....I was like what? I just got this stock clutch because the transmission had to get rebuilt and since I just bought the car (long story) I was short on cash so I couldn't get an upgraded clutch. I want the ACT II clutch assembly.
Is that really true with just basic bolt-ons, the stock clutch will take a **** as soon as 15K miles or around that???

On the bright side better clutch to put in = more power capability
