Ebay TBE

Hi , im thinking about buying an Ebay TBE + ebay no name o2 housing and i want to know if this exhaust is a lot more noisy than the stock one or if its streetable without having problems with cops...

also, do these low quality exhaust fit well or there will be some modification to do to to fit properly on the IX

cheap parts are just that, cheap. you get what you pay for. dont expect it to line up perfect , dont expect the flanges to be flat (exhaust leaks) and dont expect the muffler to last more than a year.

Mine has lasted for almost 2 years so far.

Only problem was the downpipe had to be bent a tad with a hammer to clear the ACD. It only had to be bent very slightly.

Anyways, I got the exhaust for $230 shipped and it was a full TBE (catback + downpipe). For that price I didn't mind banging out the downpipe a tad..

Here is one similar to the one I bought.

thats funny
ive had mine for just about 3 years and idk how long the guy before me had it... not one sign of rust or any problems

it didnt line up perfect, but nothing major
i mean its an exhaust, not much innovation and design goes into this stuff. 3" piping is 3" piping no matter whos name is on it

I had this exhaust for two years. It's rusted pretty bad and a hangar has snapped off leaving a hole in the exhaust. I don't think I would by again.

the rusting I'm sure depends on where you live and how often you drive, but my question is how is the tone??? I wouldn't want something obnoxious

Sounds just like my Megan TBE or just any 4G63T to be honest. If you want to go cheap on an Evo, go for it. As far as performance goes, Magnaflow (I think) gives you the best performance out there. They're also louder then my Megan so be careful with that.

If I was you, I would keep the stock cat and catback. Replace the downpipe with either Megan or eBay, whatever's cheaper. Get this and put it on the downpipe.

Any straight-through exhaust systems will most definitely be louder than stock. I have an ebay tbe and the fitment is perfect! downpipe was a direct replacement. didn't need to bang on the dp. Tone-wise, it sounds great! Pretty quite at idle, because i have a cat on. hope that helps!
