RMR Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop

Is there any other hood scoops available for Evos? Really don't want to spend $400 for something like that.

Yea, it's pretty ugly but I'm trying to bring the temps down going to the intake and I think this is my only option The freaking ACD reservoir is in the way to route anything from the bottom bumper opening.

The problem with a hood scoop on an Evo is the designed air circulation in the engine compartment doesn't flow that direction. The evo engine compartment was meant to have hot air flow out of the hole in the hood not suck air in from it.

You'll be fighting the original airflow design if you put a scoop on the hood and it might give you problems. That's why you don't see them on evo's too often. The headlight or somewhere on the front air dam is a better alternative.

I could see how something like this might help you out.

Replacing the vent with a scoop will more than likely actually hurt your engine bay airflow and your temps will go up. As mentioned above, everything was designed to have air flowing out (its good to let the heat from the turbo/exhaust manifold escape).

Thanks for the input guys. The RMR hood scoop only covers half of the hood vent, so I figured the underhood air would still be able to get out. I think I will look for a different alternative.
