I'm looking into getting this..

Called the guy, and he said he sold his Audi to get this, didn't like the suspension? So he wants to sell it..

Now I'm not an expert, but buy looking at the pictures alone but the engine bay looks... well iffy?

Any comments, or guidance through my possible purchase?

Yes, I figured it had an intake, but the piping is what kinda has me iffy.

 

Doesn't look to be in very good shape for only having 31k miles. He mentioned its tuned and modified though so of course it doesn't look stock under the hood. Did he take the wing off? Why didn't he patch the holes? Did he install the SSL sub in there?

 

The interior is dirty, it looks like he doesn't keep it clean, but the exterior of the car is just fine.

He is the 2nd owner, I'm assuming he took the wing off, but I did not ask.

 

Make sure the tranny shifts good.

Its looks good... But whats with the Evo8 rear tailights? And the Subwoofer out of a SSL?

 

It is also claimed to be an 2006 IX, but it has Evo 8 Tail Lights and Head Lights.. And the Front Crash bar looks to be painted white as well, which is weird because they are all black factory... A lot of suspicious things going on with that car IMO.

 

put another heat shield back on the manifold, look into possibly replacing the upper radiator hose because of the heat shield being removed, and put the louvered vents back on the hood, and find out where the wing is

 

I called, he said the sub was in there when he bought the car.

I am receiving the VIN number as we speak.

He has the wing, was removed because he did not like it..

As far as this Evo goes, was way to much false info.

what are you looking to spend? I have an 06 with just under 25k miles TB SE i'm the second owner and i picked it up 09/25/09 it's original in service date was may 07 and it's in excellent condition has never been in any sort of accident, clean carfax and autocheck
