Paint center pillar

Has any one paint the pillar's on the outside door, cause my shiny black ant black no more.If yes tell me what the best way to do it thanks

I know it sounds cheesy but that new plastic Krylon spray paint looks really good when sprayed on in numerous light coats and is very flexible
