I'm in this same boat right now too. A knockoff can be had for significantly less and i can do the paint and body work myself. I get paint for free cause I work for Sherwin Williams.
My dilemma is that I'm going to go voltex at some point here this year I think so i can't justify spending the extra money on the real jdm just to cut it up when I do the over fenders! Besides, even if it doesn't match perfectly on the caorners, it will never be seen!
So that's why I'm leaning ebay knockoff. Hell I'mleaning on some of the voltex knockoff too! Doesn't make too much sense spending thousands on body work when the car will be daily driven and taken to the track.

I bought a Ebay Knock off because my rear bumper was cracked, not going to say from who, but its not fiber glass, The fitment wasnt so great, after trying to fit it I notice the defuser was out of shape and had to bend it back, but couldnt do it at home, took it to a body shop and got a quote on it. in the end I just said forget it and traded for a stock bumper for now until I have the money to go real JDM rear.
if you have someone you know will take their time and adjust if it doesnt fit right, then dont worry about it. get it put on and make sure the paint matches and call it a day.... a clutch will be nice. :-)
