The issue people have is when someone loses it and smacks into another car. Minding your own business is good, but what other people do on the public road IS our business.

Geesus. This is exactly what I'm afraid of when I see cars on the road in heavy snowfalls. Your name is Mr. Streetracer and no disrespect but you should know better that R compounds are junk in heavy rain/snow situations. If you can't find any snow tires, get some decent all season tires then. That will work fine for you.

never use sandbags in my truck, just stick it in 4wd and basically good to go through whatever, 20 inches yesterday and no problems anywhere even on steep hills and back country roads no snow tires either

I promise you with snow tires you will be able to go 10 mph at least.

OP, you're definitely an idiot. Sell your car.

I've got snow tires on my car right now and just went through the same storm you experienced and I did not get stuck once. That included pulling out of the parking lot where I live with the entrance completely blocked in from the plows clearing snow on the street (2.5 feet).

I have practically new Kuhmo ASX tires on stock 8 wheels and they did perfect in the 20 inches of snow we got yesterday. To all the idiots that think all seasons won't work in the snow, you just don't know how to drive.

The OP sounds like a retard thats evo collection is funded by mom and dad. Just another wannabe with an evo.

I drove my old Evo last year with all-season tires. The car was EVERYwhere. Any throttle input and the back-end stepped out.

This year, on my new Evo, I'm using Blizzacks.... WOW! Never knew they could do so well. They almost ruin the fun, but with enough throttle, you can still have all the sideways fun. It just takes more effort.

While driving on the blizzacks, I almost forget I'm on 3 inches of snow.

I highly recommend two sets of wheels, or ATLEAST two sets of tires so you can run a summer tire and a snow tires. All-season's SUCK no matter what the weather is.

All seasons aren't THAT bad, but winter tires are the best..in winter! Personally I have the Hankook iPike 409s and they are great!! They suck on dry weather cornering and what not but oh well it's a winter tire. Yes, I actually have something to compare them to, I used to have Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds and I liked those better. They did very well on dry pavement as well.

It's so fun to accelerate from a light like no buddies business when everyone else is struggling to move!

I put a set of BFG summer tires on my dsm at the end of the season. AWD 1g + summer racing tires + no from impact beam due to Front mount IC = no driving in the snow for me. All of that hard work isn't about to be crunched up and totaled for one fun night in the snow. If i'm going anywhere in this mess it's in the wifes' Toyota FJ 4X4

lol, mommy and daddy funded you probably, but not me. In the world of an immigrant, our parents are strict. Go work for what YOU want is the response.

So you can hop off my Mivec, *****es.

As for the rest, I got around fine today though. Slow drive, no boost, and did fine in slush and light snow still. Guess yesterday was just a bad time to go, considering it was like 4 inches of snow and storm at the same time.

now someone stole my front bumper though. There goes my money for all seaons..
