I noticed my cigarrette lighter does not work so I took off the center cosole lid and I found that 2 cables were cut and I bought a brand new cigarrette lighter and I'm trying to put everything back together,I just dint have a clue how the wiring goes If anyone knows which cable goes where please let me know ASAP

 

I would assume the black one is to ground and the other be positive. But better have someone in the warmer area open up theirs to help you on this. Shouldn't be too hard. I think there should be some answer in here if you search. GL

I would say just try it one way and test something then try the other way if not

 

it has one white plug and black plug that i do know where they go But i have no vlue where the white/green & the black/yellow cable goes to. I want to get this fixed someone help please

 

It would've been nice if you did remember

 

according to this diagram your black wire is the ground and your other wire is your power wire...but you could have figured that out with a multimeter.


it shouldn't matter which position the wires go, since the cigarette lighter is basically a switch. if the lighter was some sort of diode then it would matter
