RPM drop...

My RPM drops below 1 when I put it to neutral when say driving to 3k rpm on any gear and shifting it to neutral and my rev goes down to nearly 0 and the car shakes a bit like its about to stall. It stalled once couple days ago when I was still at 30km/hr . I got a injection fluid clean out of some sort from my local car shop and it still has the same problem. The car shop is working on my car right now to see whats the problem. He predicts its the throttle problem. I'm wondering if anyone has this type of problem before and how to solve this issue. I also changed my oil just last week, so shouldnt be that either.

Thanks for your guys help ~

^yes, mods? Do you have and aftermarket intake? That was my problem when my car was doing that. Tuned it out a few times but it would come back. Stock intake now no problems

I have Blitz BOV, AMS turboback and ARC induction box. Any of these would affect it? The guy said replacing the spark plugs and the spark plug wires would do but he said just the wiring is $100... i feel ripped off.

I know aftermarket intakes (pipes) can cause the MAF to go a bit haywire.. Also believe a lot of Evo's have a problem with the TPS I think or maybe the idle control valve?

Mine does this as well (throttle hangs as well).. A fair few Evo's in Aus also have this same problem you're having.. Some people said faulty ICV I think, but also others said its an ECU related issue that's there to cheat emissions or something..

I'm sure there's people on here that have heard of this issue before and know a solution/what causes it..

This is my bov :

http://www.advancespeedshop.com/blit...1-p-11966.html

Its for evo 8s... shouldn't be a problem it was a direct bolt on by my local car shop. Should there be any specifics I should tell him to prevent this problem?

I haven't tuned my car yet , but I don't want to drive down to WA with this problem occuring .

Any ideas? Thanks.

most likely its your BOV...
your local shop just ate a lot of money from you,
oh well at least you got a lot of things replaced right? :/

try blowing off and then putting your car into neutral see if it affects it..
also notice whether your using your A/C or not...

start puting the stock stuff back one piece at a time. then when it stops, you found your problem. it IS the BOV if you want my vote.

I don't want to put the BOV to waste as it was a gift from my family member. Is there a way to solve this problem?

no idea, all I know is that the guys just replaced my old APS bov with the new blitz one. Which setting should I tell them to adjust or should I just wait till I go down to English Tuning and let them handle it for me?
