How often do you clean your bumper? I clean mine off as needed, but unless you are running E85, you are going to get crap.

Unfortunately its the nature of the beast with a white car and catless exhaust.

I use these degreaser hand wipes first on the bumper and then use a clay bar to clean the exhaust soot off the bumper. If you do it once a week, its easy work, but i typically do it about once a month, so it takes some elbow grease.

Does this just happen because it's catless?

Pretty much, or it happens because you are running too rich and it has no where else to go but out the exhaust.

... But yeah white cars are real B***h to keep clean. If you do daily driving it will NOT stay clean. Actually it depends on how you drive, where you drive, where you park. Many things.

I have scratch removal and it works really well for crap like this. So unless you're paint was magnetically sprayed on the bumper (like my friend's GTI), scratch removal works well. I have the Meguiars and it works well. I heard 3M was the best.

Simple green will take it off very easily. Just make sure you wax the heck out of it when you are done.

Get the Speed Source metal heat shield. It is easy to install and gives just enough protection to drastically cut down on the soot on the bumper. Oh and it's low cost too.

dude, you have a modded turbo car and white paint with a 3 inch exhaust, it happens,...

i have a WW 9 and i clean it like once a week and yes, you have to use some big boy elbow grease to get the soot(sp?) off.
