my car is throwing a fit... first it was a random misfire code, so i replaced the plugs and that stopped. the next day, it would hardly even idle and threw another SES light. the codes were:

P0340 (twice)
cam position sensor
P0335 (twice)
cam position sensor circuit malfunction
P2228(twice)
Barometric pressure circuit low
P0171
system lean

what connects all of these?or could it be multiple problems? i was thinking maybe the Fuel filter and pump needed to be replaced since it doesn't respond immediately to throttle inputs and the lean code. thanks everyone for any help or ideas.

Sounds like your MAF is probably dirty on the car which could cause the P2228 and the P0171. The cam position sensor malfunction I'm not sure about but you might want to replace it to make sure, don't want that one going bad on your car

 

Did you just put cams in the car??

 

no cams. just pulled the MAF to check it and the connector was FULL of water and the pins were all corroded. tried to clean/ dry off the pins and one fell off. FML!! I bet this this is expensive. could this cause the cam sensor codes as well?

 

I'm not sure about it all being tied into the same part of the system, but I'd def get that situation figured out then worry about the rest. A lot of times you can find people on here selling the MAF and pigtail for around $60 in the for sale section.
