I need Opinions guys!! Upgrade to Fp Black?

Hey guys, Well for the last couple weeks ive been back and forth about selling my fp Red and to upgrade to the black. I dont know to much about the black but from what i hear its pretty amazing. The red has been a amazing turbo for me. My car ran 10.83 at a 126 on 27 pounds on stock bottom end stock ecu full weight. The next things i have in mind for my car is built tranny with evo 8 3rd and 4th gear so i dont have to shift to 5th gear any more I know when i sell the red i will have to come up with extra cash for the black. So im deciding if that extra cash could be put towards the built tranny.

So build the tranny now and worry about the black later??

Or upgrade to the black

I wish I had the spare cash i could do both but as we all know times are tough and im just wondering whats the better move now. I know i havent seen the full potential from the red yet being on only 27 pounds but i plan on building the motor towards the end of the season if things go well. Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys!!!! Quick mod list might be leaving a few things out:

Fp Red (80mm ported)
JMF 02 Dump
Stock Exhaust mani coated and ported
Buschur UICP with Tial Q
Custom Intake
Custom 3" Exhaust
Kelford 272 Cams
L19 Head Studs
780cc injectors
Strictly Modified Fuel Rail
AMS LICP
AMS FMIC
Quartermaster Twin
Tein S tech lowering springs
Rota Torques 17"

you will need to upgrade injectors as well dont forget you have to keep tq low the black will produce it and on stock block you dont want to blow it. there are people looking to buy a 80mm fp red right now so now might be time to rid yourself of it as it will be easier but then again you have not used it to its potential and that will not happen till you get a built block. if i were you i would probaly get the built tranny the red is a damn good turbo and by no means out of date but i understand wanting the newest technology on the block so upgrading to the black is logical

My opinion is to stick with the red and save for the tranny as you have already planned for.

Not to go off topic, but while it's tough getting in contact with TRE, they really do good work. I'd like to get their diff build myself.

did not say there work was shotty by no means is it but the difficulty in the unknown of your products and having so much money out there is enough. NOBODY Likes to pay for something and have to wait a week or two after promise of shippment makes you think your being cheated or scammed. yes you will eventually get it but thats not the point shep will have it in and out and preforms.

you'll more likely than not trim more off your track time with the tranny than the turbo upgrade

Thanks guys for the comments! I want the trans to get redone i hate shifting to 5th because i loose MPH like crazy haha. U guys think by getting the trans done and not shift to 5th anymore will help improve my times better then upgrading to the black? I really care about what will make the car quicker and what will it do better at the teack? Those are my main concerns.

Do the tranny, then save for a bottom end before the black. You might also need a double pumper fuel setup to go with the bigger injectors for the black.

only need double pumper if you want 500+whp to be honest but i agree really should build the motor if your going to use the black to get its true benifits. but for now do the trans then after that get a built 2.0 or 2.3 and might as well do headwork then get the black

I am debating over the same thing. I am currently on a stock turbo and do not know whether to go with the red or black. I want to just be happy with a high 10 sec daily driver on the stock ecu. If I were you you already have a good turbo why waste the time and money until to havent gotten all out of the red.
