Boost Issue need Ideas

Just installed a ProSport boost gauge for my first mod from what I've been seeing the IX should be seeing 19lbs but Im only seeing 15-16lbs. Im going to do some trouble shooting with another boost gauge. I tapped in right from the FPR. You guys have any ideas? Thanks from a NUB!

not autozone but they are relatively cheap. when mine is off it stays a hair under 0.

^ +1. Crappy quality of the gauges, or you may have a leak.

On my VIII at stock boost it would spike to 18-19 then would always settle around 15-16. Doing a boost leak test never hurt anyone.

I didn't think the gauges were supposed to be that bad seems like a lot of guys are using them. I guess another gauge will tell me what to do next. Thanks!!

yeah check for boost leaks first. also it seems like your car isn't tuned yet. give cbrd a call they should be able to help you sort out your issues.

+1. YOu don't want to go drop $200 on a Defi gauge, when that isn't the problem, if it is tho, Defi Gauges with the Defi Link are the way to go!

Ive got prosports mine are all problem free. You can get 3 Prosports for the price of 1 stupid Defi. 3 defi's = might as well go buy cams instead for that kind of money, dont be stupid.

I do a boost leak test every 2 weeks just to be sure theres no leaks anywhere. I carry the tester in my trunk lol

a ton of people use prosport gauges because they are pretty accurate for the price. it could be possible you need to turn your boost up?
