Buying a track car, the guy bought a crate tranny but doesnt know which model it came out of.

Which upon searching was the transmission used up to 12/03 by mitsubishi. and that is all I can find on it

The question is which model is it GSR(higher top speed) or the RS(lower top speed)

 

I'm going to imagine 12/03 was the cut-off date for MY2003 production, and since there was no RS in MY2003, I'm going to go ahead and say its the GSR 5-speed with open diff.
