UK Insurance
Hi Everyone,
After a few years driving my corrado I've decided to promote to an EVOVIII fq-300, however the insurance I've been quoted is just wrong!...my lowest (and only) quote was from zenith for just under £6000
. I've had no crashes, claims, convictions...anything, but I've just turned 22 last week. Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you know of any better insurance companies that are good for the more performance end of the market?
thanks,
Matt
p.s. do you know what the official mitsubishi dealers can be haggled down to? cos I know that the retail in japan is about the equivalent of £16000, so they must be making some mark up on them?
so many questions?!?...cheers

Hi there. You also might try asking the guys over at www.lancerregister.com They will know the UK market better than the majority of us who are in the US.
Hi,
sorry I'm new to the mitsubishi forum things so I don't know who's where, but thanks for the link, I'll try there.
oh, just one (or two) more things, do you have the fq-300 or fq-330 in the US? also, I was over in Las Vegas earlier this year and I saw an Impreza STi, and it didn't have a rear wing on it!?! is there some legislation in the US banning these or something? or is it just a strange Subaru driver!
Thanks

Thanks,
no the impresa wasn't the new new one, but the 'ugliest' impreza! with those rather strange lights
, I'm pretty sure iot wasn't a fake though, if it was it was identical in every way to the STi except for that wing...I can understand taking the wing off a supra or a GT4, but not a rally car!

In most of Europe, an EVO is actually more expensive to insure than a Porsche or an M3. My cousins back in Spain, the oldest intended to buy one in Germany and bring it to Spain. When he received the insurance quote, he went ahead and bought an M3. I don't know what the reasoning behind it is though.
