knocking noise

ok this knocking noise has been driving me nuts and cannot seem to figure out what's causing it so I need some advice. I apologize if this is the same topic as some of the other threads I was reading but wanted to get some more opinions.

So the noise comes from the front left wheel and it's ONLY when I turn left in anyway. It doesn't matter if I'm driving on a smooth or bumpy surface, it knocks during every left hand turn I make. The knocking sounds like there is something missing and something is bouncing around and it shouldn't be.

I was thinking either bad ball joints, cv boot, or strut. Has a guy check out the ball joints and said nothing seemed out of place...thoughts, solutions???? post response or PM might be better as I seem to have a challenge finding my threads I've posted

check to see if the cv shaft boot is ripped. if it is then dirt and road grim has gotten inside it and ruined the bearings time to go get a new one

i've got the same knocking noise coming from my right rear on tein flex, and i'm pretty sure it's bad ball joints because it knocks over most bumps. let us know what the problem is, and nice choice of evo

I'm gonna order the axle cheap so the cv is taken care of. I'll see if I can get a video or audio of the clunking/knocking sound...although the exhaust and no cat might drown it out...I was reading some posts on the forums about how to replace the axle...pretty straight forward job???

so I spent the time to replace the front axle thinking the cv joint was shot and STILL have the knocking noise! very frustrating to know that I didn't fix the issue. Anyone think strut???
