EO1 users Install Pics?
Hello all. I have an eo1 and I'm looking for other ways to do the install. I'd like to see pictures of other Evo owners' install.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I had a cool little spot for it in the ashtray, kind of ghetto rigged it to face towards me a little. I think that might have been sitting down a little low to see easily though.
Then, I had a little mounting bracket for it. it was just a metal stick with 2 holes in it, one mounted on one of the screws around the cubby (spot where the radio relocation puts the radio). the other side bolts in at the bottom of the E01, since there's a threaded hole for a mount. It was nice that way, but I couldn't get it to keep still when I was going fast. Eventually I ditched it.

Mine right now is basically sitting wedged in between the drivers window vent facing forward. Its a great place to mount, but i want something a little more custom and out of the way. I have an orbital so there goes that spot, i thought about the cubby, but i dont have one. I dont want to mount it to the dash. I was considering the glove box since my AFR gauge also shows boost, so i dont really need to see it as a boost reference. I wonder if i can make something cool to fit inside and above the cluster and use a mirror or something similar to view it.

i was actually thinking about making it come out of the sunglass holder, but not sure it will fit or how much modification will be needed. I'll get bored one of these days and move it. I've just got too many other car projects going on right now to bother with it.
Besides installing a turbo kit soon, im doing my trans, trunk mounting my battery and redoing my vac lines as well. Pain in the A-hole lol

And its too bad the screen isnt adjustable in case you wanted to mount it sideways or upside down. Ill come up with something sneaky eventually. I was or am just hoping to find someone to give me an idea that already works.
