Heard it all before???
My experiences regarding the "sky is falling syndrome":
When I bought my WRX, I went on line a saw unrelentling complaints regarding the WRX...specifically glass tranny and internals, poor build quality, **** paint, a.b.s. overfunction, if you mod you die, suby sucks ****, I'll never buy again, blah, blah, blah....also, suby dealers refused lot's of warrantee work too....lot's of complaining regarding ****ty customer service, etc.
I was shocked and scared and felt like **** for some time...but my wrx never imploded....
When I bought my SVT, same ****, different car....
SVT Cobra, same....(if ever there was a p.o.s.)
So, don't panick if this is your first time hearing that the "sky is falling" & that the car you just dropped $30k on is a peice of ****.....I've had this happen 4 times with 4 different cars....
This is not to minimize that people have valid reasons to be pissed of at
....I may be the next in line, who knows....after a while I forgot about it and drove my cars like a banshi....so far and I have not had any serious problems....with any of them....(wrx and cobra sold)

The problem is people dont become vocal until something does go wrong. You never hear about satisfied people. Its kind of like a noisey car door. When it opens quietly, you dont even think about it. But when it starts to rub and sqeak, its now in the forefront of your mind....
My theory is no matter what car you buy, there is always a possibility that there will be problems. Hell my fathers Honda Accord rear ended a car at 35 mph and the belts never locked up, meaning the seatbelt he was wearing was basically useless.
I agree, the sky is falling syndrome is prevelent everywhere. Its good to see someone else has noticed it.
