The only people who drove my car is my brother and cousin. They both have subarus and are used to putting premium gas in their cars.Other than that I wouldn't let anyone drive my car.

thats funny. because we have 91 octane here in utah and once in awhile we find a gas station that has 91 and 93. Last time I let my Girl drive my car I told her to fill it up with the most expensive gas, and she pulled into a Shell Station and put in 93! I saw the Receipt and it made me SMILE! haha

87, and no they aren't overreacting. the car is designed to run at least 91. i'd personally keep mixing the tank when it got to half at least once. shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 times to turn the tank over. then run it all out and fill it back.

Lesson learned, don't let friends borrow things like a EVO. Stay off boost until you fill up.

Evo's have a high octane and a low octane map if you (accidentally) boost and run more than 10 points of knock it will switch to the low octane map which makes it run a $hit load richer but still if you hit boost it will have some knock so either be super easy and dont hit boost or drain it... personally i would just drive it easy... you should anyways unless you are in a hurry or having fun!

happened to me when I filled up at a rest stop on I-95. filled with premium, but as soon as I started driving i got all the check engine lights possible. bad octane gas. just stay out of boost and drive slowly till its nearly empty then re-fill with premium. you will be fine, its happened to me twice, and yes it is the longest tank of gas of your life.

or, like everyone else said, drain it, forget it (if friends cash) and refill with premium. gl bro

Got a Honda civic for the borrowers. Octane Boost it to be safe, run it to empty, refill and keep on keeping on.
