oil vs fuel pressure gauge

I am hooking up aem gauges right now. I have a WB, Boost, and fluid pressure. I was wondering which would be a better choice to go with, fuel pressure or oil pressure. I am leaning towards oil but would like some other peoples input. I am running stock fuel system besides walbro and injectors. I will be running e85 on the stock evo 8 turbo for now. I would think the oil pressure would be more of a life line than the fuel pressure?

I personally think oil pressure. Reason is cause you have your wideband to tell if you're running lean.

But that's just what I think.

I went with oil pressure for the exact reason noodle stated. If you keep an eye on the wideband you will be able to tell if things aren't right in the fuel department. It is always good to know if you are running sufficient oil pressure for the rpm load you are running.

OP, good to keep an eye on it, just dont run it hard if you're low on fuel, it would suck to run out of gas under boost Then again, I pitty the man who loses OP under any condition.

Oil pressure for sure. Normal oil pressure while cruising (2700 RPM) in my RS is around 3.5 kg/cm².

The oil pressure will depend on weight regardless of condition. When I had Brad Penn 20W-50 in the motor for cold startup it had ~100psi, and at warm idle it would be around 50psi. Now with the AMSOIL 10W30 for winter it is ~100psi at cold start and 30psi at warm idle.

The pressure will change based on RPM, also. It is less useful for a specific measurement as all systems and oils will produce different readings. It is just a good thing to see the patterns of your car and recognize if anything changes over time or drastically due to a problem.
