So i popped my hood today and noticed that the liner on the hood has been chewed up. The liner on the firewall has been gnawed on as well. i hate squirrels

i figured that this was caused by squirrels because there are burrow holes everywhere in the field next to the parking lot at my work.

Scented dryer sheets seem to work at keeping rodents away too. When storing my S2000 I would put poison in the corners of the garage, moth ***** scattered on the floor underneath the car, and place dryer sheets on the floormats in the interior. I would also stuff rags up the exhaust tips to make sure nothing crawled up in there.

i wouldnt put the moth ***** in my car, instead, i was thinkin of putting throwing some down their hole in the ground. btw, rat poison doesnt work on squirrels because their body composition is different than rats.

That would be an effective way to kill any rodent. Only problems is, more often than none, they have more then one exit hole. And considering there sense are probably more developped than ours, they can probably smell the gases coming a mile away.
I would stick with a live trap (or lethal) or the good o'le .22 as mentionned above.

Rat poison will kill the all rodents (and other pets) but others will take their place. Try the moth *****. Put them in a container so you can move them if the place gets too stinky.

I had two mice make a home in my honda's blower motor (yes, I have pictures) when I was away on vacation.

I turned on the blower motor, and you can guess what happened next. I had to tear apart the HVAC system to clean it all out.

Since then, if I go away, I leave rat poison under my car in the garage.
