My car has been sitting on a lift for a week

I took my car in to the dealership last monday about the clutch slipping and they checked it out and everything and they told me i'd have to buy a new pressure plate, flywheel, clutch etc. so I ordered an exedy hypersingle and it came in friday afternoon. They were closed during the weekend so I took the new clutch and everything up there Monday morning and called to check on it a little while ago and they told me that my car wouldn't be done until next week because the technician is in florida.

What should I do about this? My car is sitting up on a lift with everything (clutch, tranny, etc.) sitting on the floor with my new clutch and I can't get anyone at the dealership to work on it nor do I get a loaner car unless I pay for the rental.

i would say.....there isnt much you can do....wait until it gets done...just make sure theydont charge you for extra time because someone is on vacation.

I would be happy that they aren't letting just anyone finish it up. How much are they charging you to replace it?

Sounds right. A local guy had his replaced with an aftermarket clutch at the dealer and it was something like 650-695 for labor.

He might be too young. How old are you? Some rental companies require you to be at least 22-23. And the dealerships insurance might not allow them to loan somebody a car younger then that.

It has been taking a while to get Evo parts unfortunately. But at this point you have little choice except having your car towed somewhere else.

I know clutches, flywheels, etc, are wear-and-tear items...are any of the replacement parts and labor covered under warranty?

I'm 18, hence the reason they wont give me a loaner, but even then they wont give my parents a loaner they told us we would have to pay for a rental car because the work on my car isn't being covered under warranty.
