Squawk????

When at a standstill, if I turn the steering wheel fully either way, I get a sorta squawk noise. I'm not 100% sure where its coming from. Any ideas? Car is a 2001 Evo VII GSR with AYC/ACD. Thanks!

yeah, don't turn your wheel at a standstill it's not good for the power steering pump or any steering components for that matter

No prob, i'm pretty technical. But seriously, as long as it doesn't make noise under normal driving around town, your ok.

I had the same problem. Was under warranty for me. I couldn't live with the noise.

You really dont want to hold power steering at the end of its locks. All the way to the left or the right will cause it to squak, this is really bad for the box.

Its noiseless under normal driving. I'll avoid standstill full locking in the future
