well its been a couple of days and i thought it was normal. but theres like a knocking noise coming from my engine.. also on the fron driver side it feels like my shock, or joint is messed up cause it hits hard when i go over a bump as if it had a load pulling it dwn. when i turn the steering wheel when im still to the right the car starts to bog out on me and it feels like its about to die.. after the car is well warmed up the noise goes away,, oil level is good, i do have cams but it never did that before and i know the difference from the cam and this noise its making.. it sounds more like a tack tack and it feels as if the engine is going to fall. oh and also i do have a oil psi gauge when im driving it reads about 20 but when its on idle it drops to 15 or even 0. what can it be???

 

Might need a new battery or alternator. Sounds like you car is trying to make up for power losses from the power steering pump

 

wow a handful of problems u have here that may or may not be related. the knocking i would blame on the cams...i have that same type of knock u described. sometimes its loud, sometimes u cant hear it, and it always goes away after the car has been running for a while. next, if u had an alternator problem, i feel like there would be some more noticable electrical/power accessory problems...the alternator does compensate for power steering usage by raising the rpm a bit when the wheel is turned while standing still(on some cars). so you can see how the opposite would occur if ur alternator was failing...however that would most likely not be your only symptom. next, ur oil psi gauge is a good indicator of possible power failure, which could be linked to alternator. in order to make a concrete diagnosis there, u need some oil pressure values from your car before these problems arose...i.e. what were the pressure values when u first installed the gauge, and are they deviated now? oil pressures may vary slightly from car to car, and will especially vary according sender mounting location. so you've got some odd problems here and u need to do a bit more probing to see what exactly is going on...

 

If your gauge is showing no oil pressure and you hear a knocking sound... I'd call that rod knock...maybe that's just me.. Could also be head noise because your oil pressure is too low and isn't getting oil to your head or not enough oil to it.. Oil pump going bad? How many miles on the car? Just my 0.02.
