Ok heres the BIG test for all "tooners"
ok speed tv has a show on the SSCC the other night and it got me to thinking. why dont we have all the " big ballers" run the SSCC next april? if you are wondering what the SSCC is check this out SSCC
its FLAT OUT 90 miles in nevada. What does everyone think? sure we'd have to make some ground rules but that can come all later on. 90 miles flat out will be a BIG test for a cars tune state. none of that 1/4 mile BS longevity.
i'd be willing to pony up some $$ to make a purse for the winner.

Good luck, a friend in a NSX did a ave or 135, also there are cars that do well over 200mph. http://www.nsxflorida.com/ and look at Nevada Road race...

i worked on a 68 camero that ran unlimited years ago. he would run indycar tires. thats the onlything that could take the speeds back then. unforutnatly he blew a RF at 220+ and it took out half of the pass side of the car and was unable to finish the race.

I saw this before...its an endurance challenge really. You are encouraged to go as fast as you can and there are only two things that have stopped anyone from finishing. Blowing you engine in one way or another...OR being run over by the person following you. I heard that one year some guy got stuck out in the middle and the guy that started after him didn't know and when he got to where the other car was stopped he plowed into him... o_O
