Question ProSport Gauges - Need Opinions on Color

Hey Guys,

I drive a 2005 Pearl White Evo VIII. For the past 30 minutes, I have been caught up on deciding which color ProSport gauges to get and want your opinions on color...

Currently, I am stuck between:

Blue/White Performance: http://prosportgauges.com/blue/White...ce_gauges.aspx

or

Amber/White Performance:
http://prosportgauges.com/amber_whit...ce_gauges.aspx

My twin drives a 2006 GG Evo IX and has the Blue/White Performance which looks really nice but I'm not necessarily trying to buy the same thing...unless you guys think this color blows Amber/White away.

Also, regarding Amber/White Performance, I'm afraid it might be too hard to see the actual tack, since it is of amber-color and the rest of the lighting behind it would be amber...

Your opinions? Yes, I plan on buying one of the two so if you had to choose for a Pearl White Evo VIII, which would you choose and why?

I assume I will need to get:
Boost Gauge
Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge
Oil Pressure Gauge

...Is that correct? I see a lot of other gauges (Exhaust Gas, Oil Temp, Fuel Pressure, Water Temp, etc)...I only want to buy what I will need. I'm not trying to be a gauge-showoff.

Thanks!
Randy

Randy - you would only need to get Boost, AFR, and Oil Pressure Gauges.

Thanks Dan - I think i'm going to stick with the Blue/White ones...They're much easier to read...Unless someone else changes my mind.

I've got the Prosport white/amber and wired them to only be amber to match the interior lights as close as possible and I really like the gauges. I can get you some pics tonight if you want when it gets dark outside.

That AFR gauge is narrowband and is worthless. Get a wideband sensor that comes with a wideband gauge.

The amber ones match the rest of the interior lights perfectly. They are just as easy to read.

That would be awesome! I think I will go with the amber/white as my main concern was how hard it would be to read the actual tack...Thanks Bob!

I went with the 60mm white/amber. They are white during the day and as soon as i flip on my headlights they turn amber. They match really well.. Here is a crappy pic of it during the day just my Oil pressure

I like the look of amber gauges to match the dash lighting. amber isnt the prettiest color for interior lighting, but it will at least match and give you color coordination. and those bright white lights get annoying when driving at night. and btw that AFR gauge is useless...if u want a 3rd gauge for a 3-gauge cluster get an oil temp or even a wideband afr if u wanna spend a bit more...

yeah I would buy the AFR wideband but I really don't have 230 spare bucks to throw around. I think I'll go with Oil Temp.

Don't buy the oil temp and save for a wideband. Trust me, it's very worth it.

I tapped into the radio harness and ran constant power from inside fuse panel.

I see you went with the AEM wideband instead of the prosport one... Are the prosport widebands junk?

Ok, sounds good! I'll wait on buying the boost gauge and Oil Pressure Gauge. Then, when I get the cash, I will buy the Wideband AFR Gauge, Boost Gauge, and Oil Pressure Gauge together.

I'll just stick with my GlowShift gauges for now....

Thanks!

I wanted to be able to log. I don't think you can log with the prosport. AEM is what I am used to so I stuck with what I know..
