Exclamation Exhaust melting trunk carpet???

Hey guys!!

Do me a favor and check if your aftermarket exhaust is melting the trunk mat/carpet?

Please post witch exhaust you have if yours is sticking to the uni-body??
I know turbo charged cars run very hot Exhaust tempters and melting stuff is common.

This was an issue with WRXs with After market exhausts.

I’m using the stock right now and it gets hot to the touch when I remove the mat.

Thanks
Eric

Interesting. I haven't heard about this happening to anyone with a Evo.

That's what I'm checking. Because if it is a issue I want to put on some kind off thermal padding.

No problems here. My Vishnu "standard turbo-back" has seen about 4k miles without an issue; even a few 200+ mile trips.

Have Vishnu Standard Exhaust and no problems. Matter of fact my stock exhaust was too hot IMHO and it is much cooler with the Vishnu exhaust. Might want to check your hangers? Do you idle for long periods of time?
