how can i...
how can i...
get mitsubishi to cover my peeling brake calipers. i went to the dealership and the guy said his rep wont cover it. how can i go above him to get this replaced? i bought the car brand new so warranty comes with that. to sit there and deny something that is not my fault is bullsh*t. i know people have gotten it covered, so how can i get it covered?
Try a different dealership, or at least try and go above him and talk to the manager. Tell him it is a frequent problem since the Brembos run so hot and the peeling paint IS covered under warranty. You have talked to MMNA and confirmed it.
Like the previous post said, you can try another dealer, or possilbly contact Mitsubishi Corporate and see what they say. There is a customer service line. I called BMW Corporate once to complain about the local dealer.
this guy was claiming he is the manager and its out of his hands. he says hes only doing what the rep has told him...
i will try to find another dealership to goto and see what they will do for me

Your dealer has to take photos and submit them to mitsu headquarters. They take several weeks to process, so just call Mitsu and make a claim.
That is what I did. However, they denied my claim saying it could be due to other factors such as brake fluid, weather, not using oem pads, etc. I told them I had all the service performed by my Mitsu dealer and then they said also because I am the second owner. I then said the first owner had the maintenance free package so all scheduled work was also performed. They still denied.
They are basically done fixing them, although there is a rare story now and then about them being done. Some dealerships, who don't regularly see Evos, but love them and are enthusiastic about them will look to fix the problem right away. For instance, my friend went in for some scheduled work and his clear coat was wearing on his wing and they told them they would take care of it and they did, for free, not even under a warranty claim.
I hope the Evo X's don't have this problem.

i know this does not help because i am in texas but Lewisville Mitsubishi covered my fronts when they started to peel at 30000 miles, my rears are starting to peel now at 38000 hopefully they will cover them as well. they gave me no hassels and changed them right there the same day i brought in my car
i need to get mine fixed too. im at 35000 miles and had the car since new and my front left caliper is peeling really bad and ive always had it serviced at the dealership
