what pisses me off the most is that 99% of them with the after market HID conversions are not/poorly calibrated = GLARE

 

i guess it depends on the day too i think they look better if it is overcast but nor so good when its sunny

 

If it starts to get overcast and dark I'll put my lights on during the day but otherwise they're off.

I hate the daytime running lights (that can't be defeated) on my subie.

If you cant see a car coming towards you in the daytime, then you need to stay off the roads.

 

I personally always drive with the headlight on. I like the look!

 

DRL's aren't really there to help you see the car, they're there to let you know that the car is on and probably moving towards you. It helps if you're waiting to turn left and see a car in the distance. If the lights are on, you know he's coming towards you and you need to decide if you have time to turn or not. If the lights are off, you know the car's not running, so it's one less thing to worry about. This works in Canada because DRL's have been required here since the 90's IIRC, so 99% of cars have them.

 

I drive with them on all the time...day or night to show off the different exotic color Hids, I change to different colors all the time....plus people see me from far and wonder what that is coming up and see its a badass evo :-)

I have always driven with my headlights on during the day. Better to be visible to other drivers while they eat/text/facebook/twitter/buy-sell-stocks or whatever else people do while driving.

 

Off for me. Don't want people to get the impression of "mr ricer" with the HID on during daytime..

 

Never run my lights during the day unless it's raining or just really bad weather.

 

Weather permitting, I drive with them off during the day. My wife on the other hand drives with the lights all the time.
