AC help
so my ac is acting up. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. If the car is cold and I turn the ac on right away it works. I'll get to my destination turn the car off for maybe 20 minutes and then get back in start driving with the ac off like a minute later I try to turn it on and it doesn't work. If the car warms up without the ac on and I try to turn it on it doesn't work. (air blows but is not cold)

I would have the pressures tested. This is the real way to fix this.
You may have a bad or failing compressor switch or just simply low on freon. You can try to add some freon (on the low side) and check for voltages at the compressor. This fixes most of them with your symptoms.
There are TONS of reasons it may not work, Filters, Condensers, fan, Switches, evap, etc, are also suspect.

I would for sure check everything that has been mentioned by everyone else.
if none of that is the issue try this-
I would suggest that you check the clutch also. I had to swap out the washer to a smaller one. The washer keeps the clutch from touching the compressor.
Good luck

Last year my ac would work on and off for no apparent reason. I took it to the shop for a recharge and leak check. They told me it was ok and that the ac worked fine, but it wouldn't work consistently.
So just before I decided to replace the compressor, I was checking the system over to see how to replace it when I noticed a broken wire. Apparently it was touching sometimes then I'd hit a bump and it would disconnect. Maybe it's as simple as that. Good luck though
