Not to be a devils’ advocate, but distance is not the best indicator of wear when it comes to engines. On one side you can have five year old town cop car with 60k miles, but thousands of hours of idling, on the other side, you can have a traveling salesman with 60k highway miles in just one year (just over 1000 hours). Which engine do you think is more worn?

Was this the original belt from ‘03? That would scare me even more than the mileage alone!

 

Highest we have seen was 142k. Car was a one owner, 2005 RS, highway commuter.
