I'm in need of some ideas on a situation. I purchased my car from a dealership with a half ripped/torn SE lip. Apparantly, the salesman didnt realize how low the car was. So they granted me a band new factory painted lip for their mistake. However, I did not thoroughly inspect the lip spoiler before I got home. Now I'm stuck with the wrong lip. Do you guys had any ideas or suggestions on what to do besides sell it. Perhaps do a buy and return? The lip I got was a GSR/MR model GG lip.

btw, i spoke with the dealership and they said there wasnt anything they could do as far as return... wooptie doo.

 

Sounds like u r SOL bud. New SE lips can be had from mitsubishiparts.net but you have to pay shipping and painting. It'll cost you around $500-$600 including the 3 pieces nessesary to securly mount the SE lip...

Sorry man, I know it sux. I've had to come out of pocket to get the SE lip b4 and it ain't cheap but does look 100% better than the normal lip IMHO

Or you can purchase an aftermarket lip for less. Either way the car will look better with the upgraded lip in comparison to the one you have.

I would go with a nice carbon fiber one because you're going to have to spend money anyway why not go for the nicer item.

 

Man im in a similiar situation as my lip has a few broken tabs and im not sure if i should fix it or get an aftermarket lip. MMM what to do?

 

I would speak to the manager of the dealership and tell him you're not satisfied with the answer you were given. Also explain that you will not recommend the dealership to anyone if he doesn't take care of the situation.

Well I wouldn't sit back and accept that as the final thought...it's worth a shot to go in and speak to a manager.

 

Oh no definitely not! fight it all the way! Just being realistic, in the end, I seriously doubt they will do anything bout it...

 

Fight it! Or tell them you will bash there dealership on the net, but only do that when its your last resort. I think the SE lip looks better then most ebay lip. Kinda seem like most Ebay Lip for Evo 9 are the Ralliart lip.
