To the OP: I've been using an eBay shifter for a few months now and it's been fine. The stock boot fits it perfectly and it's a pleasure rowing through the gears with it.

Plus the eBay one comes with (at least the one I bought) shifter base bushings which are cake to install. I did have to do some cutting to get it to fit on the lowest setting but hey for 30-40 bucks you could do a lot worse.

Ok thanks man. I still may go for this: http://www.redlinegoods.com/Evo8shiftboot.shtm since I think the red stitching would look nice matching the seats. Ordered the ebay shifter and I'll do a wait and see for the boot. Just need to find a good shifter knob now. Metal is definitely out (burning hot in summer).

dont even waste your time on short shifters. They dont do anything except make your shifts more prone to misses. If anything you want the shifter closer to the steering wheel as possible. On a race track you dont want to have your hand further away from the steering wheel then you have to.

lol well this isn't wrong but it's a little over kill? Ebay short shifter comes with bushings and shifter for what, $60 bucks versus $2500 for what your reccomended.

Good info i would have thought the ebay no names would not be as high quality as the name brands.
