Is this a valid method to adjust the clutch on my stock '05 Evo VIII MR? My dealer and local mechanic both tell me my clutch is self adjusting and have ignored my requests to adjust the clutch with this method. Any reason I shouldn't try this? Is this link even applicable to an evo?

you only have to adjust the clutch when upgraded to twin disc or much stroner clutch and you do if at the pedal teh only other thing you can do is bleed the cltch which is done at the slave cly
