Going to look at an evo tonight

Ok guys i finally found an evo and i got the phone call telling me i got my new job and start on monday. Woot Woot!!!!!

I havent seen the Evo yet but its an 04 with 76k miles and they want 18k. Well i only want to spend 15k. Yeah i know 3k more than i want to spend.

Do you guys have any tips on getting them down to 15k? I havent ever gone to buy a car from a dealer so this is my 1st time. What all do you guys got for me? lol

do u have 15k already? if so, u ofer them the 15k, if they reject, u LEAVE. They will not let u leave and give it to u for 15... trust me, if they actually let u leave, go back a week later, and do the same... it took me a month to get my wifes lancer GTS for 18k OTD... it had a 22k sticker price!!! But i kept leaving when they denied my 18k

Good advise kanyonkid. Definatly go see it n inspect it really well n ask for a carfax report. N than offer him what you have n no more. if they dont take it swing by sometime later n see if they take that price.

I practically live on craigslist and ive learned one important thing, waving cash in peoples faces can be helpful (i dont mean that literally so you dont get shot and robbed) but let him know you can have the money cash in 30 seconds and it could increase your odds.
