Hey guys im going to check out an evo ix mr tm. It will be my first time taking a good look at one of these bad boys and was wondering if you had any suggestions on what I should look for/ do during a test drive. Any help its appreciated, Thanks.

 

What are your power goals? I would recommend an SE / GSR if you are looking to push over ~400 whp (for the 5 speed tranny).

Things to check:
-Radiator fins bent? (turbo swap)
-Holding boost? (Should hold 21psi, check the gauge pod)
-Brake Calipers faded? (indicated heavy braking, autox, etc)
-What other mods are done / were done? Check with the mechanic at the stealership.
-Other signs of engine work? (Stripped bolts, chipped paint on the head, etc.)
-All three ACD lights blinking in dash? (Bad ACD)
-Tire tread
-Shifter feel (is it difficult to get into a gear / grinding?)

Not sure what mods are on the car, it would be helpful if you had a link to their website / car sale so people can look

I did and alot of the threads created didnt even get responces to or ones that I read didnt really help me out a whole lot. And the Previous member who responded sure made it seem like the individual car itself matter the mods ect.

its an mr without an se lip? has it been in an accident?
