Help! Car won't start after belt changes.
it wold still start with bent valve it would just run like ****,unless there all bent which realy never happenes,i would look more it the starting circuit,ie battery or starter, turn your lights on and crank the car over if the ights go out you have a bad battery gehtto way of checking it,or just hook up jumper cables and try starting it,
good luck and everyone makes mustakes when there new to turning wrenches

To the op, Gl with your car.
Get a 1/2 in breaker bar and put it into your crank pully. Take out the spark plug in cylinder number one and rotate the crank using the breaker bar until you see the vertical indent on the cam gear align with the little indents on your valve cover. When you rotate the crank and they don't align then your timing is off.
Yeah the ralliart is just about the same layout except for the dual cam. I'm probably going to have it towed to a local shop and have them do it and show me so I can do it next time. For some reason I couldn't figure it out from what people were telling me. Everyone had a little different say in it. haha
I'll let you all know what happens! Thanks everyone for the help!

it sounds like it could easily be your spark plug wires.. i mixed 2 up after changing spark plugs and it wouldnt start.. thought i had a plug loose or the gap was off one one.. so checked all was good then put it all together same problem.. looked at my buddies wires and found the problem..
just double check on that it could easily be that

im pretty sure its not the plugs because the car should crank without any plugs installed like for example doing a compression test. but its having a hard time cranking at all. im sure its the timing. im gonna take it into the honda dealership right next to me since im gonna have to tow it and i only have 5 free miles of towing. haha
yeah iv had bad experience with messing with timing on one of my friends old car. hah i wont mess with that on my car. ill do quite a bit but messing with the timing isnt my cup of tea. so im guessing it has to be the timing.
you have NO idea what a starter looks like and you decided to change the belts and not even get the timing right? This is the dumbest thing you could have done, just stick to pumping your own gas. If the timing was way off you can kiss your valves good bye and now your going to spend some cash.
