Precious few, but some of them were.

The R33 Skyline made 444whp on a mustang and ran 10s.

The Supra made 600whp+ on the T4 t66 (owned by Craig Leiberman)

The 240/Skyline/Mustang in Drift wasnt too slow.

I just realised its sad that I know any of this.

wow....i forgot about that movie, much less that incredibly gut wrenching color. I wish i can now forget that movie was made....but Eva Mendes was the best part of that heap of used condoms.

Work pwnt so I can't see it right now, but for the guys asking about the Lancer tails, I remember reading somewhere (and I think hearing from the special features of the DVD - yeah, I'm a dork) that they used Lancer bodies and swapped parts as they were cheaper core cars than fuglying up a bunch of Evos. Not sure if I dreamed that but I'm nearly 100% certain that is the case.
