I am changing my mind after getting an estimate. I am going to go through insurance.

I initially did not want to because I hit another deer a few years back and did not want too many comp claims because insurance companies can drop you. I know a comp claim does not raise rates, but my concern was being dropped.

Freakin deers!
You're definitely on the lucky side if you had an encounter with one in your car and that's the damage you got. You should pressure test the intercooler to see if it's leaking... that'd be the biggest thing to look for. Some insurance companies cover aftermarket parts. Just double check with people that know the industry (not with your agent) and find out. Good luck!

That's what I was thinking. Where's all the blood, guts, and hair?

I'm surprised you killed an adult deer and walked away with that little bit of damage. Interesting..

It was an adult dear I hit. The deer was dead in the road. There is only a little blood on the lip and the wheel well but there is hair numerous spot all over the car. I do have a descent amount of poop all over my wheel and side skirt that must have been squeezed out as I ran her over.

The damage is minor and I am fortunate.

Wow, I guess you all are suspicious about it being a deer, but it was. I do not know what exactly happened as it all happened so fast. Maybe it did not get run over but perhaps dragged underneath and then spun around as it hit numerous spot all down the driver side and even scraped the bumper.
I am on stock ride height.

That's just funny lol.

Agreed, with my luck, I would have been ejected out of the car. Car would have hit a rock, tree, train, cement truck (in no particular order) and ended up landing on me.

All in all, I'm glad you're ok buddy.
